Immunotherapy finished after 2 year limit

Has anyone got experience of life after immunotherapy treatment comes to an end. The treatment is limited to a maximum of 2 years by NICE. Partly due to the expense of these treatments and that patients may not derive any further benefit after that time. Im interested in how healthy you have been, have you had any late side effects in the months after. Are you confident that there is an enduring effect. Any replies mucn appreciated.

  • Hey Ed,

Not knowing what the future may hold once you finish your treatment must be rather daunting but everyone here will have their fingers crossed that things will go well and the immunotherapy will have a lasting effect.

Although I couldn't find any recent discussions about this on the forum you're very welcome to have a chat about this with one of our cancer nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They are always there to help and may be able to make you aware of where you can find others talking about how life has been since coming to the end of their immunotherapy treatment.

    Kind regards,
