Hi,

in December 24 I had my left breast removed due to diagnosis PR+ ER+ HER2-

April 25 completed 12 rounds of radiation

Today I am here fighting the after effects, lymphadema in my arm, cramps, body aches, fatigue daily. Change in taste, hot sweats, brain fog as menopause now kicked in due to pro stop and tamoxifen. I am determined to keep living but i struggle some days to fight the after affects and I am tough on myself.

1st mammogram done last October all good but for some reason this next one due next week I’m very anxious, just seems a long time since anyone has checked inside and I’m really worried of secondary because mine spread to a lymph node.

im doing my best to keep positive and some relaxation breathing as sleep is now broken and then restless nights have started with my mind doing overtime 

I keep thinking of all my symptoms as my body feels like I’ve aged to my 70’s and I’m on 46

has anyone had the same cancer and a secondary return ? If so what were your symptoms and didn’t you notice any changes

    Hi Saralou123.  I had same hormone positive breast cancer but it was lobular and one lymph node involved as well.  I had lumpectomy, then chemo and then radiotherapy aged 47.  The after effects are terrible aren't they?  I found it really hard going at first but as time went on, it got easier.  Maybe it would help to phone the nurses on here to talk it through.  There is a cancer charity called Penny Brohn and they do zoom courses.  One of them is about moving on from a cancer diagnosis.  I do the clinical hypnotherapy and the mindful movement with them weekly.  It really helps me with my stress levels.

    thank you for your message xx the after affects difficult never a day the same but we fight through it xx thank for the cancer charity I will look into this as it maybe a great help xx thank you so much and keep strong and well
