  • Hi Ptaylot and a warm welcome to Cancer Chat,

I am so sorry to hear you have experienced all this pain since going through treatment for anal cancer 7 months ago. I can imagine that this burning sensation has been rather unpleasant and difficult to live with and you should not have to endure all this pain every time you sit down or experience these aches and pains in your legs and hips. It's definitely worth flagging these issues if you haven't done so already with your medical team and asking them whether they might be linked to your treatment and if they have any suggestions that might help.

I hope that you will hear from someone else on the forum who has faced similar issues following anal cancer treatment and I thought I would mention   's post on suffering from aching legs 5 months after chemo radiotherapy treatment for anal cancer. It seems like this member was in a similar situation to you as they mentioned suffering from achy legs and hips in particular so it might be helpful for you to talk to one another and share tips on what might help with these aches. Don't hesitate to drop them a line on their thread too if you wish.

Feel free also to get in touch with our cancer nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. They may have some further guidance for you or point you in the right direction. I hope that things improve for you and that these burning sensations and aches will get better very soon.

    Best wishes,
