How painful to read your post and how dreadful you feel. It’s a really awful disease and I really feel for you going through this . It’s very early days yet . I would suggest if I may to contact any of the cancer helplines tomorrow or make an appointment to go to Maggie’s ( they help anyone affected by cancer ) . I know that grief is really difficult to deal with , but it might help you to talk of how you feel and have a good cry . Sending you a hug xx 

I'm sorry to hear how you're feeling Mpl9, but these feelings are natural as it's so hard loosing a parent. It's ok to acknowledge that you will have bad days, but please know that you're not alone and that there is support out there. Like LCR mentioned, cancer helplines, including ours, are there if you need to need to talk to someone. Our freephone nurse helpline is 0808 800 4040, lines are open 9 to 5 Monday to Friday. There is also advice on coping with grief here, which you can look at in your own time. Also the Samaritans helpline, 116 123, is open 24 hours a day if you ever feel overwhlemed by things. These resources and the Cancer Chat forum are here for you whenever you need it.

It is very early days yet so I'm not surprised you feel so bad ,when my Grandmother who brought me up died I was in a state and I never thought I'd get over it but I did ,it took over a year to feel more like myself but day by day I started to feel the tiniest bit better ,I really do feel for you because I know how bad it gets ,Its good you found this site on here are some of the most caring people and it will help you if you want to express how you're feeling at any time .
