Life is so difficult

Hello, this is my second post today, I am struggling so much, I am in remission but the damage the radiotherapy has done is awful, my last treatment was 12 weeks ago, I have developed an over active bladder and the pain in relation to going to the tiolet is awful, I am not living just existing. I am writing this while I am in bed, the weather is lovely but I can't enjoy it, I feel like I will never feel right again.

  • Hello Emiliejo,

I am so sorry to hear you struggled so much today and had to stay in bed when the weather was lovely. It's great news you are in remission and I hope that you manage to sort these issues you are having as a result of the radiotherapy treatment.

It might be worth getting in touch with your GP or medical team about how you are feeling at the moment and seeing whether there is anything they can suggest to give you some quality of life and help you cope with these side effects.

Our nurses are also available on this free number 0808 800 4040 if you would like to talk to them about this - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm so don't hesitate to give them a call as they may have some suggestions for you or may be able to point you in the right direction.

I hope that things improve for you soon and that you manage to talk to a doctor about how you are feeling at the moment.

    Best wishes,
