mottled discoloured scars and after mastectomy

I had a mastectomy, during which they also removed an implant that had been in over 40 years to fill in my "depressed sternum", basically a pothold malformation of my chest which made a massive dip in my front on the same side I had the cancer,  I was gutted to lose it, as it had been with me so long, and he couldnt put in two implants, although he told me he thought about doing one upside down with the other on top of it to fill up the dented area, anyway, I expected a scar from the sentinel node removal (luckily negative) and an under the breast scar, but in addition I now have a curvy scar going out from the nipple area, and it scarred up in a mess where a hole developed with crusty scabbing, sorry if tmi.  It was meant to be a nipple sparing mastectomy, and nipple had been how they had put in previous implant so its looking pretty tatty now, but Im bugged by how scruffy the scars look - the skin has changed colour from pasty pink to dappled dark brown patches, and instead of neat lines like all my  other operation scars (loads of orthopaedic ops over the years) Im striped with these mottled brown areas which look really weird. A friend has recommended bio oil which I started two days ago, and it seems to have eased the itchy dryness, but its unlike anything scarlike Ive ever seen. Is this likely to change or am I stuck with it?
