About poland19

yep, facing mastectomy and instant reconstruction on Tuesday 3rd. I got that boob as an implant to correct a major chest deformity at age 18, I was the wonky chested girl who got bullied all through her teenage years, and the thought of losing my Jenny implant was mindboggling - Im guessing it is older than the surgeon who is doing my surgery, And there we have it, not just a cancer dx, Ive been asked if anyone ever mentioned Poland syndrome to me before . Er, no. Like a sick sort of buy one get one free, so I get another diagnosis, on top of a pile of existing long term medical conditions, I am worth more as scrap metal than as a support worker cos Im full of artificial joints and screws etc as my joints are shot with arthritis. Apologies for rattling on, but Im just wondering if there are any other Poland syndrome diagnosed people are on here who might fill me in on it, cos aside from googling it I dont know what the implications of it are for my recon and future health. My invasive ductal carcinoma stage 2 is starting to make its prescence felt and Im feeling uncomfortable where they took sample back on 6/11, any suggestions or advice about how long Im likely to be in for cos Im a bit shocked hospital says its an overnight job, and past reactions after orthopaedic ops are that my bladder plays up and I cant wee, can I ask them to keep me in 2 nights, Im terrified of being home in pain and getting retention again. oh, and hello all x
