Anyone any advice about taking HRT after cancer

Hi

I have always said anything that increases the risk of cancer, I would always stay well clear of.

I have had bowel cancer in the past so not a 'hormonal' form of cancer.

Maybe I already answered my own question in my first sentence but wondered if there's a 'safe' HRT to take or if they are all as bad with the risks.

Should I just stick the menopause symptoms out or see my GP about maybe trying one.

Thanks

  • Hi Colin

Sorry to hear about your wife.

This is exactly why I decided before I got to the menopause that I wouldn't take anything that would be a cancer risk. Even before I had bowel cancer.

You have made my mind up for me now.

    Thank you

Surely after a few years i'm almost through it.

Sending my best wishes to you both and hope she has a speedy recovery x

  • Thankyou for your kind words we are at the beginning of the process or journey but we are positive.

But very angry that a tablet has done this to our family, I'd rather have the window open, window shut, covers on covers off and questions where I've been but stick in there it won't last
