Hello - any advice on how to apply for PIP?

Good morning,

This is all new to me so here goes.

i am happily retired , 4 years now, diagnosed with bladder cancer 15/3/18, undeeent Urostomy operation , still seeing the Consultant, doctor and hospital appointment etc but I remain positive throughout this journey. I have fantastic support from my family tbh.

I would like to know about the process of applying for PIP please.

  • Hi there ...

I was told pip was only for people not of pention age ... I was told attendance allowance was for people after pention age , unless your allready on D L A  ... but McMillan should help with advice and help with forms ... the pip forms are a nightmare ... and many are refused ... so deff if you can apply , get help ..

    Good luck ... Chrissie   ......

  • Thanks for the response Christie,

i applied via the gov website......I spoke with MacMillan last night and they will help complete the necessary paperwork.......nothing to lose tbh.

    cheers
