I would say it's completely normal to be so nervous and worried about your upcoming scan results.

I have also recently just finished my fourth chemo and had a pet scan. I was so nervous about it having not worked. I dealt with it by just trying to stop my mind thinking about the cancer. Easier said than done but if you allow yourself to keep thinking about it that's when the anxiety really kicks in. Try to stop your thoughts in their tracks and occupy your brain with an activity of some sort. 

I really hope your results give you some reassurance.

Your worries are a pretty common reaction. All you can do is find a distraction to avoid obsessing about it. 

I only had four cycles of chemo so my distraction was quite extreme - I flew out to Goa and spent the two weeks waiting for my scan results on the beach convalescing on a diet of beer and curry.
