So scared

Feeling so lonely,

This cancer lark is hard work, I'm not coping too well,my Anxiety level is to 90, can anyone tell

Me does it get any better,or ease off,I just turned 50 this year and this has turned my whole life upside down,

I was diagnosed with lung and lymph node cancer late October,I'm due my 4th chemotherapy on the 2nd January,

I'm on 2 very strong chemotherapy s ,my body seems to be coping well,no major issues or sickness thank God,

I think my biggest problem is the scans after my 6th treatment,so worried to know if the Chemotherapy even touched the cancer,I'm wore out from the panic Attacks,I got mild relaxers from my Gp but not finding them great, only peace inget is when I'm asleep, can anyone help with advice please,

sorry to hear. Hope your ok. I know cancer chemo is all scary stuff. I have had enlarged lymph nodes removed 5 weeks ago. I still am recovering. Then got biopsy 16 months this been going on for and now they tell me I have breast cancer my whole world has fallen apart.

I got chemo starting end of January dreAding It and side effects. HAir loss I have lovely thick hair. I know how you feel but your not alone we will all support that’s all we can do I guess. I hope your scan goes well for you and hopefully we all have a better year. I’m just under shock and denial. Just found out 2 weeks ago. Xxx

  • Hi Sangha,

So sorry you got this news,

Yes you have a long road ahead of you but please God all will work out fine for you,

It's terrible news for any one to get, and yes I lost all my hair after just the 1st Chemotherapy, but I don't mind,if I thought I was going to get the all clear I wouldn't care if it never grew back,my prayers are with you and I'm here if you need to chat,

    Best wishes,

    Ange!

thsnk you so much. I’m worried Incase I have to have a mamectomy and my hair loss. I don’t know what to expect. I’m just recovering from lymph node removal

had a quiet Christmas. Just feel sick and ill.

Is chemo painful. Did you try cool cap or is that a waste of time. I been told that’s very good. I know there’s many side effects and by the time one recovers time for another one. Thank you for replying. Hope all goes well for you in your scan xx. Babita

  • Hi Hun,

I'm flying through the chemo so far,no major side effects thank God,hope it stays that way,

Was hospitalised once for low immune system,I see people using the cold cap but don't know if it works,as I said I'm not worried about my hair,it will grow back eventually, chemo is not painful and the anti sickness medication is brilliant,if one doesn't agree with you they will change it over, but there great,

Tiredness is a bit of an issue, but everyone is different, just take it as it comes,if you need rest, take it,

Thank you for your well wishes,I'm here if you need to chat,

My mental health is very bad with it all,so if you need to,go to your Gp and get relaxers,xx

  • I lost all my hair after the 1st chemo, but theyntold me I would,I had really long blond hair,I'm on 2 very strong chemotherapy s,you will get both mouth wash and Mycostatin from your nurses or doctor looking after you, make sure and get enough,I asked for 4 bottles of Mycostatin each time,

Try the dool cap if you want,if it works great,if not,it will grow back, chemo is not as scary as it seems,I remember I didn't know what to expect either, and yes it's all very scary,it's the unknown that we're going into, imhad to have a pic_line fitted as my veins are very very bad, best thing ever, they can do everything from that,no more black and blue bruises all over me,best wishes going forward Hun,x
