Cash from private healthcare insurer if treated on NHS

Just wanted to make sure that people were aware of this as it was news to me.  My insurer (like others) will pay £50 (some may pay more) for each outpatient treatment (chemotherapy, radiography and maybe others), this obviously adds up given the number of treatments some of us are having.  There's a limit with mine of £5k, and also, surprisingly, if you've started treatment can also claim retrospectively...rather unlike any other insurance I've come across.

I will not be looking a £1k gifthorse in the mouth...

Also of note that even if you don't choose to go down the private route they can still provide support for you.

Good luck to all X
