Hi everyone. This is my first post on this site . I have just had a request from my NHS employee to attend a supportive sick review meeting next week. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April this year. My first lumpectomy was 10 May and needed a second one to gain clear margins 21st July. In between both ops had quite bad infections. Due to these there has been a delay in my chemo. I started my first cycle on 7th Aug (the day after mum's funeral) and three days before my dad's admission to hospital. (out now) every 21 days for 6 cycles followed eventually by 15 radiotherapy. I'm not trying to portrait a sob story, as I consider myself to be lucky., but am unsure how to react to a request from my NHS employer to attend a supportive sickness review meeting next week. I have been in contact with my employer during this period. The only thing I have replied is say it would have to be at my home because of infection etc. I feel a little anxious as I don't know how I will be. For those of you on chemo you will know each day is different. I don't know yet how my hair etc will respond. Feel so confused. Just wondering at this stage what they want me to say and do? Thanks
