  • Hi Dizzy may

I finished my treatment in May and still feel tired but I get out as much as I can.  I gave up work (early retirement) in April 2014 before my cancer was found and I had joined a few groups  so I carried on going all through my treatment (exceot the days when I was really bad).  My Husband is retired and we try to get out as much as possible or do the garden etc. I have an elderly mother that I have to take shopping so there was no way that I was not going out.

Sometimes when you feel tired it can be a lack of exercise, do you have a local community or sports centre that has groups or classes ( for beginners) its hard to make the first step but do try to push yourself into making that first step I met some wonderfully supportive people.

I read on another forum today someone (suffering with depression) had posted "when I am feeling bad I try to do an hour of something creative an hour of something useful and an hour outside the house, somedays I dont manage all three but trying keeps me going"  they qualified the creative included cooking, or sewing usefull could mean ironing  or cleaning and getting out of the house could include shopping.

You could always ask your GP if there is a suppory group you could go to.
