Hi Michael ........   please dont worry - there is definitely something you can do cos I have just done it myself!!!!!    Please ring the McMillan Nurses (if your brother doesnt already have one at the local hospital he uses).  They will make an appt for you to see their Benefits Advisor who will go through all the Benefits to which your brother is entitled and help you fill in forms etc.  I couldnt believe how very helpful they are and how knowledgeable.   Please get an appt asap and the very best of luck x

I see lovely Max has already given you some excellent advice. I also thought I would include a link to our information on the financial support that is available when someone has cancer. This includes, for example, government benefits your brother may be entitled to and charity grants. Find out more information about all this here.

If you click on the government benefits section and scroll down you will specifically find some information on housing benefit.
