Insurance cover

I am wanting to know how much you think is a reasonable amount to pay for travel insurance, what experiences have others had. I recently got a few quotes, the cheapest beign £1207-80p!!!!!!!!! Ridiculous :-(  my fligh is only £110 lol, why do we cancer patients have to be penalised for something which is beyond our control? i would like to know how others feel about this and if any of you know of any GOOD insurance companys out there that won't hold our illness against us.

  • Hi, i used a company called MIA, recommended to me by a friend that was still undergoing treatment. I was given the all clear in november but as you may know that means nothing to the insurance companies and we are over charged for 5 years. I went to cape verde at Christmas and it cost me £104. Be prepared to declare everything about your treatment start and finish dates etc. It might take a while, I am planning on using them again in may, Good luck hope you get a decent price. Jos
  • Hi Pearson and Jos

There's another discussion here about travel insurance and cancer which you might find helpful.
