Work - I will be on sick pay when I have my operation. What other benefits could I apply for?

I am working full time, and will be having a operation to remove cancer from my oesophagus and stomach, I will be off work for a while, and will be on sick pay, what other benefits could I apply for.

    Hi Paul I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  Will you be on SSP or full salary sick pay?  The benefit you could claim is PIP and the CAB can help or Macmillan to apply for it.  You could go on GOV.UK and do the benefit calculator to see if there is anything else you can claim.  Or just google Entitledto .  Good luck with your operation.

    Hi Paul, so sorry about  what you are going through right now.  Phone the DWP (DEPARTMENT FOR WORK AND PENSIONS) and explain everything  to them and they will  help you get the extra help that you are entitled to.  Good luck.
