Holiday Insurance

Hello, I have had a melanoma and lymph node removed. I am currently having immunotherapy.

Please can anyone suggest a holiday insurance provider they have used? Currently, I am looking at quotes of £500 for 10 days cover in Europe. I am well, physically fit and active but still having treatment.

I am more than prepared to exclude cover for risks around ongoing cancer care as if I was unwell while away  I would come home….I guess I am looking for holiday cover for other undiagnosed health risks, accidental cover etc… Any thoughts, recommendations or general advice?

Thanks, Richard

  • Hello Richard and welcome to the forum,

Quotes vary depending on who you go to and what you need, but you can find information around travel insurance and cancer on our website. It has details for comparison sites to compare costs and has links to British Insurance Brokers Association, where you can find suggested brokers who could help you with the options available. I hope you're able to find something suitable for your holiday.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Richard.  I have cancer too and in treatment.  I am hoping to go to Portugal for a week soon.  I had a quote from Allclear for £1950 for travel insurance.  This is a ridiculous amount.  I got another quote from Insurancewith and that was £267 for an multi trip policy which is much more affordable.  You can quote online which is quite quick and easy.  I hope you  enjoy your trip and get affordable cover.
