Hello zepthedep01
I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. Undoubtedly, this is a worrying time for you.
Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to the question you've asked regarding PIP and DWP. I'd suggest contacting Citizens Advice or Macmillan's financial advice service which may be better able to help with your question.
I hope that you're able to get the help and support you need.
Best wishes,

Hi zepthedep01. I dont think that you have to report the condition if it is not affecting your care or mobility in a different way to your pre existing condition.
You must contact the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) enquiry line straight away if:
These changes can affect your PIP award. Depending on the change, your PIP could go up, go down, stay the same or stop.
That is all that you have to report according to the gov.uk website.
