I'm glad to see the lovely Leelaloo is helping you with your query, but I just wanted to quickly stop by as well to share this information we have about what financial support and benefits you may be able to claim.

Hi Buffy, if you go onto www.gov.uk and type in benefit calculator there is one called EntitledTo and if you put all your information in there it will tell you what and if you can claim benefit. The obvious main benefit is Universal Credit but if you have a partner who is working it depends on the wage coming in as they take the household income in to account. Also cant claim it if you have savings over £16 000. The other benefit is PIP but that depends on how long you have been unwell and also how it affects your daily life. Most information can be found on the gov website. Also Macmillan can do it for you. Some water companies offer discount etc. Let me know if I can help you.
