Firstly, hi to all of you out there living with cancer and those carers who are giving support.

i had breast cancer 5 years ago, sadly it’s back.

i was made redundant a week before I found out. 
I have applied for jsa and esa but have been told I don’t qualify.

This is due to staying home for a number of years looking after my autistic child.  So as a result my contributions are low. 
my husband earns just above the UC qualifying line but our bills are high. We have 2 grown up children with special needs which means we all are trying to live off one wage. 
one of my children is in receipt of PIP and I applied for a carers allowance. This would mean it comes out of the PIP so counter productive. 
im so worried as the job centre had no help and said to use a food bank. Not what I need whilst trying to deal with cancer. I was hoping to be able to concentrate on eating well and taking time to heal. I can’t even out oetrol in the car or buy healthy food locally. 
can anyone suggest a benefit we can apply for.
