Hi
This is my first post so apologies if I'm missing any convention.
I'm 39 and I was diagnosed with an Astrocytoma Grade II back in 2020 and had chemotherapy and radiotherapy but the tumour is still present.
Recently I hired a motorhome for 5 days. Unfortunately I reversed it into a bush and it had a corner crack. They first charged me £1k and I let that go. Then they came back and after "further inspection", charged me another £2.5k. I've been trying to build up finances for my wife&2 young kids and this doesn't help in the least.
I did some research and found I got get original parts shipped from Netherlands for ~£100 and manual labour to fix in the UK of £330. They're overcharging me by £2k and the stress doesn't help but I'm stuck how to proceed. Do I get a solicitor? But would their fees consume anything I get back? Or raise a small claims case (but I've got no experience of this).
Appreciate any advice !
Thanks
