Hi everyone,
I have had to cancel a holiday in September, as my daughter has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma. She is currently under going chemotherapy in a brilliant hospital and she has been there for 7weeks so far.
We booked with love holidays and took out their suggested insurance as prompted.
I had paid £800 approx off the balance and was told i should be able to claim most if it back, claiming through millstream insurance brokers which love holidays use.
Unfortunately that is not the case! They have emailed me saying it will be £95pp. Excess, Ontop of £75 love holidays are charging. They also did not accept a headed letter from our wonderful mcmillan nurse outlining all our daughters medical details, length of treatment, upcoming surgical procedures etc. They require a g.p letter which I was shocked to find that one a4 side of paper to be filled by her g.p is going to cost me an additional £62.50 to be completed.
By the time all the fees are added up I will be claiming for less than one third of my layout.
Is this correct? Any advice or feedback would be great.
Thank you for your time.
Lee
