  • Hello Heddi

I'm so pleased to hear that you're recovering well from your surgery. That's great news.

We've lots of ladies here on the forum who have experience with anastrozole. Hopefully, some of them will post to share their experiences with you. You may also want to use the forum search function to look for posts with "anastrozole". There are lots that you can read.

It's worth just pointing out that not everyone has side effects from this medication and some people will experience different side effects from others. The important thing is that if you decide to take the medication and you do find that you're struggling, please speak with your Breast Care Nurse or Oncologist. There are things they can do to help manage any side effects that you might have.

Hopefully, your radiotherapy treatments will go smoothly. It's not uncommon to experience some tiredness etc for a few weeks after it finishes so take your time and rest as you need to. If you've any concerns during your treatment then speak to the radiographers as this is their area of expertise.

Let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi, just seen your post, I've been taking anastrazole for roughly two years now , my breast nurse said it seems the better tolerable one...

My main side effects are painful joints... the hot flushes settled down after a few weeks. I do get fatigued but I think that's an accumulation of everything. Bear with them and give them time to settle in , if you find yourself struggling chat to your GP....we all react differently....fingers crossed you'll cope ok on them x

  • Hi Marlyn

thank you for your response, yes I have to give them time to see how I react to them, thank you again and to everyone else your all amazing x
