Just wondering if this is normal. Got my first session yesterday and had tenderness to breast like period breast pain. Feels fuller and heavier as well. Second one today and again it feels heavy and tender.
I had 15 sessions of radiotherapy which ended in February 2020. I too experienced a heaviness in my breast very soon after having treatments. Even now I still get pains and almost a 'stiffness' in my breast. Oncologist tells me it's very common for this to occur and some women get it for years. I think I will be one of them!!
Although I find it disconcerting at times it hasn't got any worse but can be quite uncomfortable. Some days are worse than others.
Good luck with your treatment. Drink lots of water and moisturise!!! Go well.
Thanks for replying, when I mentioned to radiotherapist she said oh it looks ok but keep an eye on it as if it was uncommon. I've tried to drink lots and creams that they supplied too thanks.
