I have retro peritoneal liposarcoma and had a 10kg cancerous mass removed in October 2020. The liposarcoma specialist surgeons removed my right kidney, right adrenal gland, right bowel, psoas fascia muscle and a large section of my diaphragm aswell as the surgeons cutting through my femoral nerve endings so that the tumour could be removed en mass. I had my three month post surgery CT scan which showed that it had come back to near my spine and it had metastasised to my lungs as there were two tumours at the bottom of each lung. One tumour at the top of one lung and an area that they didn’t like the look of.
I have been referred to an oncologist who has put me on six rounds of 48 hour IV infusions of doxorubicin and ifosfamide along with mesna, steroids and saline for 48 hours every 21 days. This means I stay in hospital for 5 days every 21 days so it comes round quickly!
I get very tired about 5 days before I am due to go back in for my Chemo. I am only 42 and am praying for a positive outcome. Does anybody else suffer from absolute tiredness like me before they go in for Chemo?
