It would be best to not trust anything that hasn't been suggested or recommended by your doctor or medical team as it could be dangerous but do be sure to speak to them about this as they may be able to provide you with something that may help.

I wouldn't mess with them or waste money on things that most likely won't do any good, just eat well and wait, mine returned quicker than I expected - around 2 months maybe, quicker to regrow than hair for some reason.
The hair on my head started to grow back 1 week before my last chemo. It is about 3/4 inches long after 6 weeks. Eyebrows and lashes still falling out a bit I reckon.
