Should I be worried? Mum ask to come in for test results?

Hii! My mum was diagnosed with Glioblastoma grade 4 last year and underwent radio, chemo and surgery. Ever since her scans have been clear. She is due to go back for scan results on Monday and due to the current situation from covid i assumed they would give her a telephone appointment. Yet she was called today and told it won't be a phone appointment she gets, she has to come in and see her team. I am really worried it's going to be bad news, and I would like to be prepared. Does it seem like she will be told her cancer is back? I work as a student nurse in the hospital and can't tell if I'm over thinking it or not.

  • Hi,

I think they are just seeing more people face to face, now. I had a call to go for a previously cancelled appointment the next day, as they are fitting people in as best they can. Don't worry until you know what's what, it will just make you ill and won't help your mum.

End of lecture. Good luck, I hope all is well.
