  • Hi Shaz6117,

Sorry to not be much help but I'm not too sure about this - you may wish to call our nurses on 0808 800 4040 (Monday-Friday, 9-5) who will be better placed to help.

    All the best,

  • Hi Shaz, I dont know what sort of op youve had but once the breast nurses at hospital had changed mine a couple of times and reassured me that the site was "normal" I was allowed to change dressings myself, and was given a supply of those soft edge plasters.  When they discharged me to GP surgery health care team, they used similar ones, I had one patch which was slow to heal, and she gave me a weird pump thing with seaweed gel  in it to help the healing, I also had some gauze impregnated with iodine or something similar to ensure the dressings didnt stick to skin under the dressings. the seaweed gel was brilliant at speeding up healing, one time it got very itchy under the bra line by my scar, and she recommended nappy rash cream. it worked brillliantly.  all best, and hope you feel better soon.
