Hello, I finished herceptin in December, I too only had 9 as there's strong research that 9 is as good as 18. The onco chatted it all through with me and put my mind at rest so I was happy to take advice. What grade and stage were you? X

Thank you for your reply. I'm stage 1 grade 4. 

I think I panicked as I was always told I would need 18 and would return to work jan 2021. Thought they were just cutting it in half due to covid-19.

Well that makes perfect sense as I was told stage 1 was perfect for 9 doses, I was stage 1 too....

I just worry because I was originally told I would need 18 doses. Dont want my medication being cut short for any reason other than better health! Will see what oncologist says when he phones me through the week. Hope ur doing well? X

Right at the start of my chemo I was also told I needed 18 doses of herceptin, however it was half way through at one of my onco appointments that they said I could do 9.

Im doing ok, I had a clear mammogram in February this year and was looking forward to finally getting out and about....how wrong was I! Hope you're ok? X

I am ok thanks, I have a very determined attitude, to be honest I'm finding isolation harder than cancer! 

Everything will get back to normal eventually. Get to see my family and friends, get out for some excersise, and be cancer free. Everything will come together in time.

I'm the warden of a residential home for the elderly so apart from the chemo week I pretty much worked the whole time, however my job isn't a physical one so I felt ok to carry on...what do you do? X

Well, it's pretty physical isn't it....listen to your body...

I tire very easily now and have to pace myself....take care xx
