i did fec....we all react differently, I was a bit of a wuss but my friend totally bossed it....even going straight into work after her sessions....

if you can fit in a flu jab beforehand..do. And a dental checkup wouldn't go amiss.

I will imagine the bone scan is the dexta one...it's a doddle. It's not strictly an X-ray ( the staff stay in the room with you) it's just see if there are signs of osteoporosis. 

Im on sodium clondronate ( similar to the zoledronic ) my bone scan showed I am osteopenia ....plus the acid is another preventive, to stop any stray cancer cells going to the bones...so a win win! 

The list of side effects of the acid is eye watering, so far I'm ok...phew! You'll get regular blood checks and monitoring throughout, you'll be well looked after...

ps...take extra strong mints with you on chemo day, your taste bud will go nuts on fec, the mints help....

What drugs are you having? Mine may be different to yours I'm having FEC.

It might not be as bad as you think as not everybody has the same side effects.

Just think about the good it is doing you killing off those mean cancer cells.

Im just waiting for 1st chemo date, should be in a week or so.

thank you for replying. My chemo is t.c chemotherapy 1st starts this coming Wednesday. I am dead nervous. Scared   The thought of loosing hair and eyebrows. Lashes. Nail damage the works I'm terrified 

have you seen oncologist nurse yet ?  I have breast cancer and how about you ? X

Good morning ladies

I had my first FEC last Thursday. No sickness or pain, just a little lethargic and terrible chemo brain lol   ( have to say made my partner laugh)   downside? I am in hospital with a fever and a chesty cough! Totally precautionary but very inconvenient

I had first chemo this Wednesday. I just can't sleep properly at night with sleeping tablets even. 
just tired and weak. Ulcers in mouth. Achey. You rest up. Always here if you need to talk xxx 

FEC was the chemo I had.  Its the steroids that will effect your sleep. Try not take them to late. I took my last one about 3ish and slept fine!  Gosh you mouth ulcers have come on fast. I constantly clean my teeth and use mouthwash several times a day and so far so good. Which chemo have you started on?

i took steroids in morning and lunch. Yesterday. I got the ulcers straight away and feel sore down below. Feel awful not sleeping and v tired. 
im on T. c chemotherapy. Recovering from lymph node removal op still. After chemo got another op.  After 6?weeks of recovering from chemo then. Radiotherapy then immune therapy. I got breast cancer. Where about do you live. Xx I'm up north
