Hi wimbat palliative chemo like any other chemo, you don't normally have any side effects until so many days after after infusion, normally feeling or being sick main ones, hair loss. It varies a lot depending on type of cemotherapy and strength, and fitness of pacient. Tablets should be supplied at hospital to help with side effects. I've been palliative care from Feb 2016. Most of us find the first chemo session to be an anti-climax - after all the nervous waiting to get my treatment started my initial reaction was “is that it?!”
