By the sounds of your responses to Hazel etc you seem positive and in good spirits so thats great.

I've tried to stay positive thoughout and with the confidence that light at the end of the tunnel was there waiting although it dont always seem so.
Glad the blog has been of some help and between mine and Hazel's you will get, hopefully, some raised awareness of some of the challenges after treatment and maybe some tips as well.

On living a normal life again the answer is totally yes and in my case right now, I'm feeling the best I have been for years and even before diagnosis. I exercise more, eat healthy, no alcohol (my choice) and feel great now.
One thing that has stayed is a slightly drier mouth but again its not any real issue and I constantly drink lots water each day. Keep repeating one of the best medicines.

I get you re lives on hold as to be honest, it pretty much is while treatment and recovery in a lot of cases. Some back quicker than others as we are all different. But the good news is that in the majority of cases now its a time thing and the cure rate for this is one of the highest.

Was told by my consultant it's the worst for treatment and recovery but with the best success rates for cure so keep that in back mind on the road ahead.

It's funny how  you manage to find the strengh during recovery and you find a way. Even as Hazel mentions eating issues, which I had, we had the delicious Ensure supplement drinks!!
I managed without a PEG and although I struggled with eating, I'm still personally glad I did ot have inserted into stomach. 

I wont go on as you will have read our blogs and lots here willing to help and support you throughout this.
You mentioned your partner and your right as its hard on them as well.

Keep as positive as you can and keep drinking.

I did laugh when u mentioned retail therapy, my other half thinks I have shares in amazon now , daily something or other turning up, most to with aiding the c journey or helping the mindset I bought a guitar I can’t play and strummed it 3 times so far haha

Lol, yep I said right while I’ve got this c thing I’m going to learn something new and of course I get away with murder right now...I don’t even know how to tune the bloody thing and that’s with a digital tuner haha
