I understand everyone responds differently, but it would help me plan & be in control if I had an idea what to expect when. Does the nausea last the whole 3-week cycle? what about the tiredness? am I likely to be ok driving the day after?

Hi,
like you say we're all different, my friend was absolutely fine on fec, even going into work straight after infusions ( desk job)
me? A different story! I would have to go straight to bed and would more or less stay there for 3 days, there was no way I could drive in week one...
The nausea lasted pretty much throughout, only alleviated by eating anything cheesy (!)
The tiredness lasted throughout too for me....and I'm still struggling with that today ( last chemo was may)
but....there is every chance you will be different, I joined the breast cancer uk chemo forum....and we were all different.....
whens your first one? Xx
Tnanks for replying. going on Thursday. added complication because recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism too. so weekly blood tests needed for that
Good luck....you don't need the added worry , but they really do keep an eye on you...the regular blood tests will put you at ease xxx
Hey just had my second cycle of fec, I had nausia for 5 days with both they are changing up the meds to help. 2nd week felt normal heading into 3 week feel well.
Everyone is different unfortunately good luck xx
