Hi. Well thanks to Billy goat for pm about meeting the donut. Made me smile. Interested to see what the effects of (effectively) being microwaved for a month, will be. Keep Calm And Carry On, is the plan.

Glad it’s all going ok, not long and you’ll be done x
Thanks Billy, I’m thinking I should probably go back to work after my holiday, not going to rush anything though!!

Hi ploppy I'm aok, certainly don't rush back hope you enjoy your holiday,, best wishes.

Hi v
Haven't you nearly finished your rad yet, haven't heard much from you lately are you OK,.
Billy
Joined cruk lotto last week. Thought if I win give money back, they deserve it especially the forum.
Hi Billy, well I wish you luck with the cruk lottery, but I'm sure if you win just a donation would be fine, especially as you put so much work into helping others. I will be half way through after tomorrow. They are getting worried about my skin, as am I, but we are just keeping on trucking, with various lotions to relieve. Staff are wonderful, so chatty and kind despite being under constant pressure. Worse thing ever is when there are young children waiting their turn, that breaks my heart.......
Quick q for any of the BC ladies, this risk of your skin splitting, do they have to halt the rads if you develop 'open wounds'? Is it normal to have a "review session' half way through.........I'm getting worried about how worried they seemed when they saw my skin today. It may be this is all perfectly normal, but 45% in and marched off to rads nurse to be examined has made me wonder how hard rest of month is going to be. And as you know I'm not a brave warrior, I'm a whimp. Plum
Hi v i told you crispy bacon, don't forget some eggs, be nice for breakfast, oh and some toast, good luck, keep in touch v love. Billy,
You managed to get a smile out of me. Thanks.
That's my job try to make some smiles I don't get paid but it makes me feel better mind you some of the ladies (no names mentioned) can be problematic, can't they,. Love... Billy xxx
Hi viplum,
my skin kin was awful during rads, it started to bleed in the second week, I had 23 sessions altogether, ( no breaks) but they looked at me almost daily and gave different creams and dressings to apply, In the last week they gave me cream with silver in it, it took about 2 weeks after rads finished to see improvement...
how many sessions you had?
Hi M, just done nine out of 20. Figured they'll plough on even if you are bleeding, but difficult to follow logic of ' no rads until surgery healed up'; but they know best, such expertise it blows my mind how clever they are. My 'lane's' chief zapper had her birthday last week. Policy of no gifts from patients which can't be shared, on basis they get fed up of biscuits and sweets, took in a big bag of sample size cosmetics and made a donation to charity and she was chuffed to bits. Felt good giving a tiny bit back. How are you M?
