  • Hi and welcome to the forum.

As Chrissie says I’ve had similar to yourself. I was diagnosed in April 2018 with stage 1b grade 1 endometrial cancer. I had a total keyhole hysterectomy in May and after histology the cancer was upgraded to 3, I was offered 25 sessions of external radiotherapy over five weeks but chose to have more surgery to remove lymph nodes in July. Thankfully they came back clear so I was offered three sessions of internal radiotherapy spread over three weeks. This I was told would reduce reoccurrence from 15% to 1% so I opted for it. It was very straightforward and actually sounds far worse than it was. I had no side effects after the RT in October and received my all clear in April this year. I’m now on four monthly check ups for the next year and less frequent checks for a further four years. Please feel free to ask any specific questions and I’ll answer them based on my experience.

    Hoping for your continued recovery.

  • Hi alimay

I had external radiotherapy but I suggest you get as much information as you can, especially from your consultant and who you see regarding the treatment.

Only you can make the decision.

    Good luck River
