i now await results then the discussion with the consultant over next line off treatment .

  • A warm welcome to the Cancer Chat forum Annimouse.

I'm sorry that your bladder cancer has begun to reoccur but hopefully the TURBT is helping to keep things at bay.

I know you're wanting to chat to others in a similar situation so I've had a quick look through the forum and found that [@Baw7]‍ and [@Karen1969]‍ are also on this path so hopefully they'll stop by when they can to offer their support and advice.

Do keep chatting to us here on the forum if you find it helpful Annimouse and remember, you are not alone.

    Kind regards,

  • hi,

I to have bladder cancer but I refused treatment after 3 canceled ops & receiving the 4th appointment I had made up my mind to refuse.

This was over a year ago having said that I am much older than you now 76.

My GP has now prescribed morphine patches that help with the pain from now spread to bones.

My main worry now is very itchy & red raw around vigina (I do not scratch as it is it too painful)

My womb has now prolapsed into visable outside my vigina.

I have told my GP but seems not getting any help there.

As I am housebound I have bought & tried everything I can find on the net to stop itching.

I do hope every thing goes well for you & your treatment is very succesful.

    My very best wishes x

  • Hi Annimouse, its Mo from the Health unlocked site, just sent you a friend request, hope you are doing OK

  • Hi Mo

I am at present waiting for another cystoscopy to see if the tumours have returned again

in the meatime, i have to have a CT scan and MRI

Thank you for request of being a freind , nice to chat

    How are you doing .

  • OK Hun, I have been for a PET scan today so am now Glow Mo, they have seen somethng in my lung as well so hoping its just a Bronchial scar.  But they cancelled the surgery for my throat which should have been on Thursday so I have to wait for results of scan before they will reschedule the op.  Tests tests and more tests, have had every scan going now so they should have a bigger picture.  Had a call from IBD team today as I have been told to stop all immunosuppresants.  Quite an interesting conversation regarding the time lines of this cancer and the Vedolizumab that made me feel so ill.  Seems I might have been correct and it wiped out my immune system allowing the cancer to get hold.  Not happy but they are covered by the small print in the leaflets given 'may cause cancer'.  Damned if we do and damned if we dont .  How is your Crohns with all the stress and worries.  Mine has been remarkably quiet.

    Lots of love Mo xx

  • Hi Mo

I too am very concerned re the link from vendo to cnacer , but my Crohns is the best it as been in some thirty years . Yet i think i would rather be coping with a flare than this dreaded cancer .

It blights my days and no matter how hard i try to put it to one side it raises its ugly head

i had my bladder cancer diagnosed some ten years ago , one minor op then nothing for six years. Then i began imunosupressants big time and hey the cancer returned with a vengence.  coincendence !!!!!

so now Sunday i have Ct scan off thorax and chest and MRI off abdomen and pelvis .......... then cystoscopy on 12th June   all scary stuff .....

I hope you get good results and your operation can go ahead .

    Enjoy the days

Prayers and blessing coming your way x
