A Good Day!

I went for my scan results today...3 months after my treatment for stage 2b cervical cancer finished. I was so scared....

My oncologist was smiling and I’d never seen that before...my results were good! A little bit of scar tissue from radiation, but no evidence of disease. My tumour has gone, I’ve had a complete response to the treatment, and there is no evidence of disease.

Officially in remission.

Wow. I can’t quite believe that. But I’m so glad for our wonderful NHS and the treatment I’ve received. I am beyond grateful.

  • Hi Hope

I made this post more than 2 years ago now...and a lot happened since then, unfortunately. My cancer did recur 9 months after I posted, I spent 5 months virtually bedridden in 2020, had 2 operations-one major which changed my life completely, but here I am...2 years down the line, grateful every day for the 3 surgeons who saved my life, and enjoying feeling well again! Thank you-we have spoken before on another post and you are very kind. I hope your mum is doing ok and you are too. xx

  • Hello Minska

Thank you for responding- very kind

so pleased your reoccurrence was dealt with successfully

mum is due for her third round of chemo tomorrow... she had a reoccurrence of endometrial cancer and it's in her pelvic lymph nodes and para ortic lymph nodes only. So, desperately hoping chemo manages to kill off the nasty cells and she goes into remission...

keep smiling and sending you tons and tons of good wishes xxxxx ️ ️ ️ ️
