I am sorry to hear about the treatment your husband had to have and some of the side effects he is experiencing.

Unfortunately cancer and it's treatments can affect a patients sex life and sex drive in many ways. Whilst it can be a difficult subject to talk about it is important that any issues are brought out into the open. We have some web pages with information about sex and cancer that you might find helpful to read here. 

Sometimes the affects of treatment can last for quite a long time and then resolve. But other people may need treatment or a referral to a sex therapist to work through these issues. It might be worth your husband talking this through with his GP too, they may be able to direct him to local services that deal with such issues.

You have posted this question in the ask the nurses section, you may get more responses from other forum members if you posted again on a different section of cancer chat.
