Are my Doctors working quickly enough?!

I have stage 2 non aggressive breast cancer,  diagnosed July 2018...Had 6 rounds of chemotherapy from August till December...oncologist told me he would send me for scans in January so they can see how much lump shrunk etc...already been told has to be masectomy.  7wks after last chemo I've had to contact oncologist and surgeons secretary's to see why no appointments come thru for scans...told me oncologist wrote to surgeon saying he's not scheduled any scans wants me to meet surgeon first to discuss options(met him already b4 chemo, he was one told me has to be masectomy )...So after me chasing them up I now have apt with surgeon 5th Feb but wondering without scans etc how is he going to be able to discuss my options/surgery if not knowing what he dealing with??

Feeling abit let down and now panicking that I'm getting left behind when it's cancer ur dealing with surely the quicker the better?!

Anyone else in my boat?

  • Just read your post. Surely you shouldn't need to chase up appointments? I would feel the same way as you...how can you surgeon talk about the next step with no scan results in front of him?

Do you have a bc nurse you can call up? Someone needs a nudge! Good luck with it all and I hope they get a move on soon xx
