Hullo everyone, this my first post. I was very impressed by the range of questions, what seemed to be very helpful answers and the friendliness of this forum.
Having been diagnosed with lung cancer in April 2017 I was given a course of chemo therapy followed by one of radio therapy. Sometime later I had a ct scan the result of which showed that a tumour on the right lung had greatly reduced and also showed dead tissue, the left lung which previously had a small tumour had now disappeared. Sometime later a scan showed the cancer on both lungs had returned and I was given immuno therapy. Unfortunately, half way through, treatment was stopped as my thyroid gland had been very damaged, resulting in some awful reactions. The latest is a very painful leg which has resulted in in sleepless nights as the pain occurs when lying down. Is this, and the other reactions, the result of an underactive thyroid gland or the effect of the therapy.
I would be grateful for comments from those who have been on immuno therapy.
