Hating Docetaxel

I definitely had it too easy on the FEC and boy is the T coming with a vengeance!!!!

I didn't think it was possible for a drug to hate me quite this much :D

Day 5 of pain all over my body, which is so pointless as my head is in gear and I could be doing something productive if only I could get up (well I'd probably need some calories in me too I guess).

Still, had some fun on a motability scooter and a supermarket wheelchair trolley, wheeee wheeeee wheeeee....

Ach well, only two more cycles to go.  Roll on the end of treatment.

  • I'm sorry you're having a tough time on Docetaxel LJ, but I'm glad you've managed to have some fun via the mobility scooter and supermarket wheelchair trolley. I do hope you were driving carefully ;)

Fingers crossed the pain subsides and becomes more manageable soon LJ. Like you say, only two more cycles to go now but do let your medical team know if it gets too much.

    Kind regards,

  • Thanks Steph,

Figured I could come on here for a bit of a grumble, I've had it so easy so far.  And yes, I was a safe and sober driver ;)

The pain is more manageable now although my legs seem to not have got back to full function so have managed to get some crutches so I can walk about without keeling over.  Just need some sun to heat up the in-laws pool now so I can give my legs some exercise.

    Best wishes,

    LJx

  • Jeepers, sounds like you've been clobbered by the treatment. Hopefully the cancer has even more so. I'm a bit disappointed by your idea of a grumble. You're making jokes and seeing positive sides.

Seriously, I take my hat off to you, even though I never wear a hat. (There's one at the back of my wardrobe. A souvenir from Australia.) I'd say keep your chin up, but you're doing that already. It's okay to let off steam. More than okay really, has to be done here and there. Don't blow a fuse.
