Struggling with dreadful weakness during Chemo.

I have non hodgkin lymphoma and have had three out of six Chemo sessions. Day after Chemo I have to take steroids for five days. I’m ok until I stop taking them and then it hits me . It’s not just tiredness but a feeling I am so weak I can’t stand for few minutes and that I’m going to pass out. I have told my haematology Dr and they say they will alter the dose. Has anyone else had this trouble. Wishing all of the lovely people on here lots of love and hugs xx

  • Sounds silly i know but make shure you are drinking enough water cancer patiants realy need good hydration blood gets sticky and sluggish if your getting dehydrated.i dont know why they dont tell people on chemo etc how important this is just a simple suggestion that is so so important the trouble is by the time you feel thirsty your already starting to be dehydrated .just have a look on web at symptoms may help .hugs to you to

  • Hi again.  My hubby was very weak with chemo and steroids can make you dizzy. He wouldn't drink enough so you need to hydrate, we argued more about water than anything else!  I think you need to rest if you feel like it, Norman slept so much it was scary but apparently normal.  Take each day as it comes, don't force yourself to do things, we even told people not to visit.  Look after yourself and let me know how it's going.  Hugs and thoughts are sent your way!  Xx carol
