Anyone with breast cancer on natural supplements?

hello everyone, I was diagnosed about a week ago and I am not surgery or any kind of treatment, we’re still in the process of checking the rest of my organs to see if I have any metastases bad I want to start taking some anti-cancer natural supplements. Does anybody takes anything that he’s been working for them ?

I read that Spirulina and green Matcha tea are good   Any comments?

  • Thank you Paulus, I will !! I started Spirulina yesterday in a daily smoothly with oranges from my daughters tree une peach and ginger .

  • Hi theres one thing i forgot to mention is hydration its so important i used to nearly tear my hair out trying to get my liz to drink enough water .as Lizs oncologist told us chemo tends to make your blood sticky they dont know why but dehydration is realy bad .also ask about calcium as you can get two much in your blood so taking calsium suplements without advice from oncologist can be bad to

  • My mother was drinking a lot carrots juice and lot of vitamins. It really helped . She can google about juicing therapy it really helps I am telling you .

  • Dear Alien, thank you , I did read about the carrot juice but can I ask you what kind of vitamins your mom was taken? I really appreciate your answering my question as you know under the circumstances we have to have our traditional medicine with some natural therapy

     How is your mom doing?

    thank you again

  • I've been diagnosed with level 2 ductal carcinoma. ER-/PR-/HER2+,  thus not responsive to hormal treatment and HER2+ means Chemo after surgery then radio, rather than just readio. My Chemo will include a newly licenced drug Permuzmab. So my Lumpectomy is scheduled for next Wednesday 8/8.

I take turmeric tea, selenium, vitamin d, omega6.

Also blue and blackberries, celery, spinach, cherries, sardines, tuna, romaine lettuce, spring onions, tomatoes.

See here for fill list foodforbreastcancer/articles then navigate to your combination of ER/RR/HER2.

No alcohol, red meat sugar, smoking or soya and limit chocolate.

I am focussing on keeping occupied, cycling and sleep. excercise and sleep the top 2 unprescribed treatments every doctor wishes they can enforce.

  • Sorry for late reply , I had been so busy for my mom’s treatment, She is doing well now , I had posted something before for you but it was removed due to this blogs restrictions  and I wasn’t aware of that before posting . I think I can write about natural vitamins which helps you to stay healthy . My mom takes Vitamin C , turmeric curcumin , omega3 tablets daily . Anyone can take it ,she is vegetarian now , actually she is watching her foods so do I . With her I am also very careful about choosing food. How are you doing now ? Take care

  • Hi Treemad

I hope you’re doing great you should have had your Lumpectomy by now.  How are you how are you doing?

I have the same breast cancer you have only mine was stage one so I’m only doing radiation and then I’m gonna have hormone therapy.  Thanks for responding I’ve been really busy with work but I’ve been thinking about you I wanna know how you’re doing. I’m doing fine, tolerating my radiation really good just getting really tired  I too have started to eat a little healthier, I’m eating organic meats and organic vegetables because I don’t want to consumenany pesticides or hormones. Only occasionally when I go out or I get invited to dinner or somewhere then there’s nothing I can do there but I’m eating this way 80% of the time. I will take up some of your suggestions, I am taking right now Tumeric capsules.

Let me know how you’re doing hope you’re doing fine stay strong we can beat this

    Hugs

  • Hi Alien, Thank you for replying. I am very happy your mom is feeling better . Congratulations  to her for being a  vegetarian I really Couldn’t do that even though I don’t eat a lot of meat. I am doing the curcumin  and  May I ask what role plays the vitamin C? Is that for cancer?

Please take care of yourself we need to take care of ourselves so we can take care of others to.

    Big hug to you

  • After being diagnosed last year with metastatic cancer I had already decided I could not do chemo again after a stage 3 DCIS in 2011.

I looked for an alternative and decided to try Carrot Juicing as per the book available and I have to say that I feel it had some effect.  Yes, I am receiving bone hardening treatment, hormone treatment and letrozole but I stuck with the carrot juicing religiously starting in August last year.  Tumours were found in my lung and my spleen in November, by March, they had strunk by nearly 50%.  I had a scan in July this year and they are no longer visible, there is nothing for them to measure.  I do not believe that one or the other is rsponsible, I would like to think that rather than it being an alternative, my efforts were effective in conjunction with the standard therapies I am receiving.  I did get a little fed up of carrots I have to say, so for the last 2 months, I now juice half the amount of carrots  to make 1/2 litre of juice, I then mix this with Spirulina, Chlorella and a mix of supergreens and I feel so much better for it.  I think the additional intake of liquids is also beneficial.  My aim now is to really boost my immune system so that it can fight the cancer cells still present.

    Hi Liliana,

Just a word of caution which has been touched on before. I was taking some alternative products when I was first diagnoed. One of these was Evening Primrose Oil capsules. I was advised by my surgeon to stop taking this immediately, as it had an adverse effect on my cancer meds,

It is proably prudent to check with your consultant before you try any alternative/homoeopathic products.

I do hope that you find something to help.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
