Am sorry your lung cancer is on the move again; if the chemo knocks it out I hope you will be able to feel it has been worth the aggro.  My mum's cousin has Stage 4 lung cancer and has been doing well for a few years now but of course you always fear it may return.  Please do keep coming back here to tell us how you are getting on.  Annie

Hi Hen, welcome to the forum.   It's  a roller coaster that's for sure.  My hubby has the same and we have just got through our first year.  It's not curable so we will have more treatment,  it seems that you fight as much as you can to hang onto life.  Good luck, whatever you decide to do.

Hi Newbie. I dont post very often but just read yours and would like to say that I had 6 months of chemo from May last year till October. I have stage 4 Cancer in the stomach lining which was s inoperable. I was 9 stone 4 last April and am now 12 stone. I could not eat much but after 2 doses f chemo I was able to eat a lot better and now feel very good after being off chemo since then.  I had a scan in February and the cancer has not progressed so doc has kept me off till end of April. All I am looking for is to carry on for a few more years ( doc said it could be months originally) so already got to a year from diagnosis. I will go back on chemo if needed but I try to be positive for my wife and family. My wife had it 4 years ago and it came back last year and she did not say anything for 3 months due to my diagnosis. So we as a family have had a bit of a year shall we say BUT we laugh about things. Lost all my hair down below but not on head so that was a talking point. I won’t say what my son in law said lol.What I want to say is I am grateful for the chemo and always try to be positive about everything. (Lost five teeth in last month so getting called Steptoe now). I still work full time in our family business and go to gym 3 times a week the guys and girls at the gym encourage me to really do as much as I can and we have a laugh when I beat one of the younger ones at something ( ps I am 71). I think what I am trying to put over is that I feel by being positive and getting involved with work etc has helped me to get this far and I will be posting on here when I get to 80 . Good luck with your treatment and hope the chemo isn’t too bad this  time around.  Eddie
