Feeling nervous

I go to see a surgeon tomorrow. I thought I was having a lumpectomy but when I saw my consultant the other day she asked what surgery I wanted. Found out could be a lumpectomy or a mastectomy. Shook me as I’ve always been told I would have a lumpectomy. Roll on tomorrow when I can find out what’s going on..

Hi Shirl
If you can take someone with you as 4 ears are better than 2. Also pen and paper so you can write anything down including any questions you have.

Very wise. You may not want to make an instant decision and I have read other ladies saying that they asked for a couple of days to weigh up which decision they wanted to make. I have never had breast cancer (or indeed any cancer) but it is obviously important that you make a decision that is right for yourself.

Not sure what to except tomorrow,will have a good talk with the surgeon and see what he thinks best..

Hi saw the surgeon today will be having a lumpectomy and having my breasts lifted afterwards. Will have the op in 3 weeks time..
