Thank you Nata, that's so kind, sorry I haven't read through all of the posts, what stage are you at now? Xx
Hi Texasgirl,
thanks for your reply, I was stage 4 and did have metastasis in my liver... now this, I felt it myself last night and it has definitely changed and bled... just feeling so anxious, I was over it, feeling great and then bam they pull the carpet out from under your feet. I just need to stay positive and keep everything crossed.
Anyway, how are you getting on? Xx
Thanks Mandy, you're so kind xx
Yes "I must stay positive" this will have to be my mantra for the next month!!
im glad you're doing well too, good luck for your scans xxx
Hi Lisa,
As you all know the waiting is the worse time to deal with. Now I hate the weekends. Firstly, because my family is around I have to put a brave face on but inside I am so scared and secondly no new information will get to me so more of panicking.
I don't know my stage yet but MRI showed something in liver and that what I am very worried about. Next week I have PET and MRI with gadolinium again and then an appointment with oncologist. I remember Lisa you had something in liver, can you tell me what was it and how did you deal with it. If you wish to talk about it of course.
I really really hope that everything will be ok with you Lisa!!! I am eagerly waiting for posts of anyone from this forum. So encouraging to see you carrying on with your lives after real nightmares.

I had a a 2.5 cm lesion on my liver before treatment, after the chemo it shrunk to 0.5cm, I was referred to a liver specialist, last year in Feb I was in hospital over night for a radio frequency ablation, I had differing information after this, I was told at first that they had missed the lesion and therefore it was still there, another appointment, I was told it was gone! So in all honestly I'm not sure if it is still there or not but my liver is scanned regularly and I will be continued to be seen for 7 years.
Hi Lisa again,
I can feel your frustration and pain talking about it and I trying to imagine the doubts you have been going through. But I cal also see how strong you are determined to be and it makes me stay positive in front of my health results. There are some treatments regards the liver involvement, it is just takes time!!
I think it has been just about 20 months since you finished your treatment? After that how many scans did you have? MR, CT etc. And for how long were you off work. I guess it iincludes the time for chemo/radiotherapy and after that?

Hi Nata,
I am trying to send you a note but you must accept my friend request first.

Hi Nata,
You must be through with treatment by now. How are you feeling? Thinking about you and all of these ladies. I do miss our small group. Still hope to meet one day after COVID. Maybe by then I'll have better control of these potty issues. Argh

Hi texasgirl,
Haven't been here for a while. Yeah, I have finished my treatment and my first MRI is scheduled for the middle of August. A bit nervous about it, what the scan will tell me of the tumour, hope I will get a good report.
Strange that no movements on this forum and I can't say that it is a good sign. In my opinion, no new members are here because of the lock down and people were putting off to visiting their doctors. It can lead to a surge soon and it is very worryingly.
Hope you are fine and I would love to meet up! Let's hope it is possible!
Hi Nata,
The wait to hear is nerve wracking, but the treatment is very successful (brutal but successful) and continues to work for months after completion.
I hope that is not the case as to why people aren't joining this forum. A young man posted briefly a couple of years back and a young female only posted once or twice. I believe she was in her late teens or early twenties. My guess is that they didn't feel like it was the right forum for them. I feel very fortunate that I found this small group of ladies going through treatment around the same time. It was very comforting and I love this group. I'm sorry you did not have the same experience, because it was wonderful having this group to lean on. It was all in the timing of diagnosis.
I would love to meet up as well; however, I stay close to my bathroom. I need a vehicle that has a potty in it. Wouldn't that be great!
Please let me know how you are doing.
Stay well and stay safe.
XO
Sheri
