  • Oh no! Poor you, I hope by resting tonight that you can go back tmw and get it started.

    Take care xx

  • Hi lynne, you poor thing. Hope all goes better tomorrow and all the best to your mum, Mandy xx
  • Hi Lyndy,

For several days or it could have been every once in a while (??) I had odd shaped, flat dark gray matter in the potty and wondered if it was part of the beast.  I am 7 months post treatment and my bum still hurts.  I have to eat a low fiber diet or it's painful to poo.  The poo pain did not ease up until a couple of weeks after treatment.

I'm sorry you didn't get to start your last bit of treatment today.  You are almost there.

Hope you and your mom feel better real soon.

    Sheri xx

  • Sighs with relief, chemo has been given, although BP was still low it had improved so Dr gave the go ahead on the proviso that I rest with my feet raised, I think I can manage that!  Also had review today would you believe it I’ve got another haemorrhoid anyway can use preparation H to clear it.

Sheri, what I lost wasn’t grey matter it just looked like flaky clear skin. so sorry that you are still suffering do you still have Dr’s appointments there must be something they can do?

Also managed to see my Mum she looked quite well considering but they will be keeping her in for a while I think, the bleeding does appear to be a bladder problem.

    take care all Lynne xx

  • Hey Lynne,

I never saw anything like you are describing.  I'm pretty sure I was seeing burned skin that was part of the tumor.  My tumor was quite large.

Thanks Lynne.  I have added a gastro doc to the team and a general surgeon.  Everything drags on so long.  It takes weeks to get a doc appointment and weeks to get a test scheduled.  I've had 2 tests and now they want to do a third one, but again....a 3 week wait.  Since I've cut most of the fat out of my diet the stomach cramps have become less severe.  If I continue to improve, I'm not going to have the next test.

I'm glad your mum is getting better!

    Hugs, Sheri

  • Hi Girls

the final countdown, only 4 more radiotherapy sessions to go. Managed to complete chemo my BP improved as the week went on. Very sore but as yet skin has managed to not break.

looking forward to getting back to normal!

    take care Lynne xx

  • Well done Lynne! Nearly there and before you know it back to some normality...... 2 months ago I was in the same situation and I Have been enjoying long walks, lots of gardening and I have no pain and able to go to the toilet as normal........wishing you well and speedy recovery. lots of love Mandy x
  • Hiya Lynne, Lovely feeling isn't it, almost finished. Sounds as tho your doing ok with the side effects too. I'm almost 4 weeks post treatment now, no pain from sore skin, it's all healed. Still have my toilet moments although that's getting better every day. I too have managed walks, gardening and housework, although I do get bouts of fatigue still. You will soon be back to normal. How is your mom? Sue xx
  • Hi Girls

so nice to hear that you doing normal things, looking at my garden the other day we are cultivating some rather nice weeds, but I can’t trust hubby to deal with as he would pull everything out!

Mum is doing ok, still in hospital, but they have the infection under control and hopefully she will be home soon. Sigh of relief.

its a shame but my hospital doesn’t have a bell, but when I finish on Thursday some of the others I have got friendly with do as well. I shall miss the chatter and laughter we have shared.

    Lynne xx
