The good and the bad

Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help.

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed.

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

Take care peeps

  • Hi Christine

glad you have managed to post again.

Bless have they tested you to see if you have the virus? It's a difficult balancing act to decide how safe it is for you to have your chemo. Definitely not the best situation to be  in.

im sure you know the drill to take it one day at a time and each day is a day closer to being finished.

Daughter has been back to shops so I'm sorted now.

Try and do something you each day and hold loved ones close.

    thinking of you lass. X

  • Morning all you lovely ladies

Hope you remembered to adjust your clocks otherwise you'll be Earley for any appointments. You (might) still be going to.

Brens sleeping more lately so have to do more jobs quietly. Apart from that same O same O.

Still woke at 6 even though clocks are changed strange that.

Anyway Sunday today "i think" they all seem to be the same lately..

Hope nobody going stir crazy yet lock down only just started.

Hope you're all as well as can be. And managing to get everything you want for the near future. Best wishes to all, love.... Billy xxx

  • [[ ]]Hi ladies and billy

Not really had a chance to catch up on previous posts as it keeps saying server down.....but hope everyone is ok in this utter madness. Its surreal. So glad jamie stepped down as a paramedic or I'd be more of a nervous wreck. Had an nhs letter saying I'm deemed vulnerable to at least I get to go to supermarkets an hour early. Never thought I'd be so happy to find pasta and eggs! Amid all this, found out I'm 2 months pregnant. Jamie not keen but I know I can speak to my virtual family about it. another miracle!! Vinnie is teething so when he wakes me in the night I feel like I cant do it anymore but his smile the next morning makes it all worthwhile. I've attached his first toothy pic. Would really appreciate some advice though xx

  • Hi Dizzle, well done another miracle. You'll be very busy in about seven months then..

If jamie isn't very keen send him for the snip,!!

Love the picture he's a proper dazzler.

Lovely to hear from you again as you say you've got a second family here. Hope you're feeling well apart from being tired..

Love to you and Vinnie........ Billy xxx

  • Hi all. Hope everyone is ok and staying safe. Aw Dizzle that is the cutest pic! He is soòoò gorjus!!!

I am much better but still chesty but have quarantined myself for last 2 weeks. Am working from home for last 3 weeks so hopefully wint catch any more germs! It's a very strange and eerie feeling. I think those that have been deemed vulnerable need to self isolate and not go out at all. You can get food sent to you if you're on the vulnerable list from the online address in the letter/text sent if you have no one to help. Please do be careful - numbers are going up.

Dizzle congratulations!!!! We need a bit of good news amongst all this craziness. Hey you do what you feel is best. Make sure you take care of yourself. You are pregnant and vulnerable so be very vigilant.

My son is in Houston so am worried and wish he was here with us but it is what it is. Hopefully every one will be vigilant so this can be put under control and the number of deaths will not be so severe. It is such a sad hard time for the whole world.

Take care all and stay safe. Again, very very happy to hear your amazing news Dizzle.

double oh my you are pregnant! My take on this is only you can decide how to react to this news. What I do know is how you plan your life is supported to the hilt by me ️

  • So pleased you are on the mend lass. Lots of FaceTime with your family to stay close... best we can do in these scary times. x
