It is going to remove the cancer in your breast and give you the chance to live a normal life once all this treatment is over, so the sooner you start the sooner you'll be finished with it all. The second was a definite bonus.

What surgery are you going to have - a lumpectomy or a mastectomy?

I have had 2 bouts of primary breast cancer. The first was diagnosed 7 years ago and the second the following year. Have you got a treatment plan in place post-surgery?

Thanks for the reply. 

I have 2 small lumps in my R breast (no one can feel them nor is there any outward change to be seen nor pain. Caught on routine screening).

They are grade 1 and grade  2 both invasive cancers. On MRI my lymph nodes look clear.

I am having a lumpectomy on the 21st as a day case. They are hoping to make 1 incision to get to both but will re assess on day. They are also taking 2 sentinel nodes for biopsy just in case. 

After the op all things being equal I am to have radiotherapy mon to fri for 3 wks.

Wow how matter of fact does it all sound in the written word when it is so not.

7yrs post diagnosis - I tip my hat to you Jolamine. When we are first diagnosed it's like our lives ended in that moment. This is so not true "living with Cancer" never a truer word.

duvet day for me today I reckon .... why not :-)

done nd pegged out 2 washloads out nd 3rd in. Bit of weeding done in garden so not a totally wasted day :-)

[[]]had shower nd now sitting down t raisin nd maple syrup pancakes ( we call them drop scones here up north) courtesy of m&s :-) with a gingerbread latte mmm m. 

Blimey sure the new neighbors across the road are a family of American FBI agents...there are currently 4 black SUV cars parked outside their house lol

We had tea cakes. I had raspberries which are my absolute favourite afterwards. Lattes earlier this morning.

We call them drop scones down here in the midlands too although the shops call them pancakes.

Don’t really see them round here. The closest we get is scotch pancakes and they are very flat.

Bad pants weather here and occy health GP was useless she couldn't wait to get me out her office. About as useful as a choc teapot! At least I could eat a choc teapot!

Evening ladies. Hope everyone is doing okay.

Have had a busy week. Got my follow up appt thru for scan results - thurs next week. I thought nothing of it but yesterday evening started getting anxious and got myself into a tizzy with my fears. But I calmed myself down. My appt is on my wedding anniversary- great.....

Hopefully it'll be all is normal and can truly celebrate! Fingers crossed. A busy weekend ahead so please take it easy ladies and take care.x

WQ I wouldn’t give a .... what occ health did or didn’t say...yr own gp trumps them anywhose. So.. do the hours on the timescale u need to. You are the important one in all this nd only u know how u feel. So 2 big hand digits up to them ;-0 :-)

the good :- everyone enjoying Scarborough. FaceTime call last night and this morning ( sure they are just checking I am alive lol).

the bad :- Greggs used to do a French salad sandwich which I loved... I must have been the only one cos they don’t now. So... thought look on Pinterest nd see what’s in it ( tbh had a fair idea lol) they called it Irish Egg Salad. So off t shops I went... back home.... as soon as I put my bags down on bench I knew I had forgotten the eggs! Of all the stuff u could put into it the eggs is the biggy.... sigh. Have pie nd mushy peas instead lol.

electric board rang yesterday ( I need my backboard changed... literally a piece of hardboard 30cm by 50 cm ) because electric  feeds into next door from mine and they won’t give access because they are moving nd don’t want anyone in the house ( I get that) the electricity board have said they have raised a work order to dig up the road on the corner (outside my other neighbors) and will cut off from their while they change my board... remember 40 by 50 cm piece of hardboard. Anywhose they are coming end of October to do cos that’s how long will take to get works order nd road dug up. All cos I’m getting a smart meter installed.... couldn’t make it up!

The good, several of them! Stayed in bed til 8, can’t remember the last that happened, watched two film on tv and painted the last door! Managed to doss around for most of the day. Divorce settlement also going through. 

The bad, it’s dull and wet outside and I’ve had the heating on this afternoon!

My inner slob has got out with a vegengce today!

Apart from a four mile walk this morning I’ve done very little apart from cook and that’s quite enjoyable!

Oh dear, what a pity, never mind WQ!  20% will be out of date, 20% will be globals and not relevant, 10% are probably addressed incorrectly! That should thin it down a  bit!

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

WQ my thoughts will be with you tomorrow, I know what it's like when I have only had a week off.

Hopefully I find out on Wednesday what treatment I'm going to have, but my Seroma is still here. My right boob is almost the same size as my left today and feeling tender. I'll call the BCN tomorrow first thing. I've also had a headache for the last 2 days and done nothing but sleep as well. Anyone know if it could be connected or is it just me being stressed?

Snap on the headache front, Lemondrizzle. Can’t shift it. Change in weather conditions maybe?

Hope everything goes well back at work tomorrow warrior. Amazon shield at the ready.
